Privacy policy

mybackhurts is a macOS app by Vlad Mihalachi. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

What the app processes

When you choose Webcam mode, the app uses your Mac’s camera and Apple’s Vision framework to detect body poses and count exercise repetitions. Video frames and pose data are processed on your Mac in memory and are immediately discarded. The app does not record, upload, or store images or video.

What the app stores

The app stores settings and exercise results such as exercise names, repetitions, durations, and dates locally on your Mac. It does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or browsing activity.

Sharing and network access

mybackhurts does not operate analytics, advertising, tracking, or backend services, and does not make network requests of its own. If you make a Supporter purchase or tip, Apple processes that transaction through StoreKit under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Your local settings and session history remain on your Mac until you delete them using the app’s controls or remove the app’s data. You can contact us for privacy questions at hello@mybackhurts.app.
